Beyond the Palio

Siena is best known throughout the world for its bi-annual Palio horse races which see rival teams compete for the historic title that dates back to the mid-17th century. The event takes place on the 2nd of July and the 16th of August each year and draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors to Siena every year.

The tour also goes into the rich past and traditions of this event and its importance within the region throughout time, allowing you to understand for yourself Siena as a Tuscan treasure.

The Tour starts at either 9:30 am or 3:00 pm and will last 3 hours.
The guide will meet you at the San Domenico Church  and she/he will lead you through this enchanting City..
This city is made by rising and downhill streets and has one of the most fascinating squares all over the world: Piazza del Campo.
The tour will end 3 hours later with the guide that will bring you back where you met at the beginning of the tour.
