Throughout the ages Pitti Palace has been home to the Grand Dukes, the Medicis and at a time, a base used by Napoleon. Today the palace stands as a grand museum, finally able to show off its unique history to the public.
Inside the museum you’ll find the jewellery and historical fashion in the Costume Gallery, showing off some of the fine, locally crafted wears as worn throughout history. The palace is the largest museum in Florence and boasts galleries of both classical and modern art, including the world-renowned Palatine Gallery.

The Boboli gardens are famous for their size, beauty and collection of fine 16th century sculptures that can be found around the grounds. Originally crafted for Eleonora di Toledo, wife of Cosimo I de’ Medici, the gardens are a wide and open area that’s perfect for families with children or for people just wanting to tour the hallowed grounds and take in the spectacle of an open space created with the sole purpose of being as wondrous as humanely possible.
