For everyday essentials, Poggio di Camporbiano (1km/0.6mil) offers organic local produce, while the popular Poggio a Issi restaurant and bar (1km/0.6mil) is just minutes away. A wider selection of shops, cafés and supermarkets can be found in San Gimignano (14km/8.7mil), home to a weekly Thursday market and an excellent choice of restaurants, wine bars and gelaterias. The historic towns of Certaldo (16km/10mil) and Volterra (24km/15mil) make rewarding excursions, while Monteriggioni (32km/20mil), Siena (48km/30mil) and Florence (61km/38mil) are all easily accessible for day trips.
