While the estate cellars are still in their original historic location, with lofty vaulted brick ceilings, winemaking at Colle Bereto winery is anything but historic. When you opt for the Chianti Wine Tour, Tasting & Bistecca Lunch experience at Colle Bereto, you will be guided by one of the estate’s wine specialists through the innovative gravity-flow vinification process, clarification and ageing, responsible for high-quality, modern Italian wines.
Following a tour of the wine cellar, you will also get to visit the vineyards and experience the grape vines up close, gaining valuable insights into the region’s rich and varied terroir. To conclude the experience at Colle Bereto, return to the peaceful and private vine-clad pergola for an al fresco wine tasting and three-course lunch. From here you can appreciate the sprawling views over classic Chianti scenery and the captivating hill town of Radda in Chianti.
Alongside famous wines like Chianti Classico, Colle Bereto produces a range of niche labels: from the full-bodied white wine and sparkling Brut rosé, to a luxurious 100% Sangiovese Merlot and elegant 100% Pinot Noir. During the wine tasting, you will be invited to savour all 9 Colle Bereto wines, which will be accompanied by a three-course lunch, immersing you in the full breadth of local flavours.
Savour Bruschetta served with Colle Bereto extra-virgin olive oil and fresh vegetables from the estate’s gardens. Enjoy a variety of local cheeses, side dishes like chickpeas, beans and spinach, hand-made pasta made with Colle Bereto’s flour and a dessert of ricotta with honey. The lunchtime centrepiece is of course a gloriously thick-cut Bistecca alla Fiorentina. Cooked on a traditional wood-burning fireplace, this T-bone steak is the perfect accompaniment to Colle Bereto’s red Chianti wines.

The Colle Bereto organic wine estate carpets the valley just below Radda, which is, in essence, the classic Chianti town; a medieval hilltown towering over luscious swathes of countryside. 17 hectares of southwest-facing land is devoted solely to growing Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes. Along with dry farming techniques (no irrigation), these conditions are ideal for producing wines that best express the unique Chianti region.
