When the team at family-run farm, Acetaia Sereni, first envisaged the La Gourmerenda Balsamic tour and tasting, they had a very clear objective in mind, to prove that Sereni’s balsamic vinegar is not just for salads! This unique experience not only unlocks the rich regional identity of Aceto Balsamico, but it captures the emotion, passion and history behind each bottle. 

Situated in the beautiful Villabianca hills between Bologna and Modena, prepare to be fully immersed in the production phases of traditional Balsamic Vinegar from vineyard to bottle, before sitting down for an intimate and informative tasting with tapas.

Tasting the great Balsamic Classics of Modena 

The Gourmerenda experience will lead you on a fascinating journey through the history of Acetaia Sereni, from the beginning of their traditional balsamic vinegar production to the present day. Experience all the different phases in the production of Aceto Balsamico, from a close-up look at the estate’s vines to the final bottle. You will even tour the cooking room for the grape must, ageing rooms and the Balsamic Museum. 

The tour will end in the Terazza Sereni, a panoramic glass terrace, with sweeping views across the surrounding countryside. Here you will taste five different types of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena served on a ‘board of flavours’, comprising five tasty tapas dishes. To complete the tasting experience, you will also be served a glass of the region’s iconic Lambrusco Grasparossa wine.
