Within 3 Km from Panzano in Chianti, the closest village that offers some fantastic restaurants, the Sunday market, local food shops and wineries amongst which the renowned Dario Cecchini's butcher shop and his restaurant "Officina della Bistecca". Located 10 km away from the typical italian village of Greve in Chianti, 8 km from Radda in Chianti, 18Km from the lovely Castellina in Chianti and only 30 Km from the most iconic cities of the Chianti region. From Panzano you caneasily reach Florence and Siena, also by bus. A weekly market takes place on Sunday morning in Panzano and on Saturday morning in Greve in Chianti. A small supermarket available in Panzano and a larger one in Greve in Chianti. Throughout the year there are several sagras [festivals] in these two villages not to be missed, in which the local communities come together to experience wine tasting or grape harvest. The region is dotted with many medieval towns and villages to explore at whim such as Greve in Chiant and Castellina in Chianti about 20 minutes by car. Day trips also include Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Monfiorale, Volpaia.

We all loved it - very rustic and set in the most beautiful part of Tuscany. Super pool but as it is set into the hillside there are a lot of steps

Great Villa in beautiful park of Tuscany
Both the website and brochure were full of information and any additional help was dealt with by email or telephone quickly and efficiently. There seemed to be a lot of paperwork involved but think a lot of it was due to requirements of the Italian tourism.
Our Villa was as described but very difficult to find as the owners call the villa a different name and all the sign posts used the owners name for the villa (locals hadn’t a clue where we were trying to get to when asked!) We all felt it would help to be given the correct name with the final confirmation of booking.
