Villa Rossi Danielli is set just outside the historic city of Viterbo (3km/2mil), the heart of the Tuscia countryside and known as the “City of the Popes” for its remarkably preserved medieval centre. The town offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, bakeries and shops, as well as a lively weekly market on Saturday mornings. Within easy reach of the villa are several of the most beautiful towns of the Tuscia region, including Caprarola (21km/13mil), home to the magnificent Palazzo Farnese, Tuscania (25km/15.5mil) with its Romanesque churches, and the dramatic hilltop village of Civita di Bagnoregio (30km/18.5mil). Nearby cultural landmarks include the Renaissance gardens of Villa Lante in Bagnaia (7km/4mil) and the remarkable Parco dei Mostri in Bomarzo (22km/14mil). The shores of Lake Bolsena (30km/18.5mil) offer volcanic beaches, lakeside villages such as Capodimonte, and restaurants specialising in fresh local fish. The Umbrian city of Orvieto (48km/30mil) is also easily reached for day trips, renowned for its spectacular cathedral and underground network of ancient caves.

By Car:
Motorway: From the A1 motorway, take the Attigliano exit and continue along the SP11, SP20 and SP675 for 25.5km/16mil. The final 5km/3mil are on a paved road, leading to a narrow-gated entrance flanked by two columns in local grey Peperino stone, which opens onto a long driveway lined with cypress and olive trees that gently rises toward the villa.
The last 500 metres (547 yards) leading to the property are unpaved, with a surface partly in concrete and partly in gravel. The parking area can accommodate more than 10 cars.-
By Train:
Railway station in Viterbo Porta Fiorentina (3km/2mil) and Viterbo Porta Romana (2km/1mil), with regional train connections to Rome and Orte, where high-speed services are available. The nearest bus stop is approximately 900 metres (984 yards) from the property, while the main bus station in Viterbo (5km/3mil) offers wider connections.
